The AES Cayuga Power Station is a 306 megawatt coal-fired steam electric generating facility located on the shore of Cayuga Lake in Lansing. The power station has two generating units that became operational in 1955 (Unit 1) and 1958 (Unit 2).

AES Greenidge uses a once-through cooling system that is responsible for impinging 29,000 adult and juvenile fish each year.
