NNEC Video Volunteer Opportunity
Are you excited about the possibilities of video to further environmental goals? Are you a film student or film graduate passionate about defending our Planet and promoting sound energy policies? If your answer is yes, this volunteer opportunity is for you.
The Network for New Energy Choices (NNEC), a program that promotes clean and environmentally responsible energy options, is seeking a volunteer to assist with different aspects of our video blog.
The NNEC Video Volunteer will work in our New York office and on shooting locations, and help out with research, pre-production, PA for shoots, editing, and video blogging. From researching exciting stories on homeowners generating their own clean power, to climbing to the rooftops of New York for video shoots on solar power systems, to assisting with interviewing a contractor working on an exciting renewable energy project, the NNEC Video Volunteer will have a unique opportunity to learn about renewable energy and the use of video from pre- through post- production. This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
Interested Applicants:
- Full- or part-time enrolled film students or film graduates preferred;
- Strong interest in renewable energy issues highly desired;
- Excellent research skills and ability to multi task while paying close attention to detail;
- Experience working with cameras and sound equipment;
- Experience using Final Cut Pro;
- Hours are flexible, but regularity is important, and a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week is preferred.
